The Role:

As a Casual Exam Supervisor, you will support the smooth and compliant delivery of examinations at Carey. You will help create a calm and orderly environment, ensuring students are supported and all exam procedures are followed with accuracy and care.
The Average Day:
  • Set up exam venues and ensure all procedures are followed in accordance with school, VCAA, and IB guidelines
  • Monitor and enforce exam regulations, providing assistance to students as needed before and during exams
  • Supervise students during exams, breaks, and evacuations, ensuring a seamless and supportive environment
  • Manage and deliver exam materials, assist with special arrangements, and report any incidents or irregularities
The Person:
To be successful in this position, you will have:
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow and enforce procedures accurately
  • An excellent communicator with a calm, approachable demeanour, able to support students and staff
  • A strong problem-solver with the ability to handle fast-paced situations with confidence
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
A valid Employee Working with Children Check or VIT is a requirement of employment for this position.
Please note:
Examinations are governed by VCAA and is a highly regulated environment. Therefore, you cannot supervise Carey exams if:

  • You are an ex-Carey student who graduated in 2025
  • You have a child, relative, or close relationship with any student studying a Unit 3–4 subject at Carey
  • You have a close relationship with any Teacher teaching a Unit 3-4 subject
  • You teach a Unit 3–4 subject at any school
